Privacy Policy

Whispsy is a brand of Red Press Wire Ltd (Company No. 17054431), Suite 10560, 5 Brayford Square, London, United Kingdom, E1 0SG. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Whispsy app and whispsy.com.

• Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Usage data — how much you dictate (e.g. minutes used) so we can apply plan limits, plus basic technical logs.
• Billing data — your subscription status and plan. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store your full card number.
• Microphone audio — only while you are actively dictating (see below).

When you dictate, your microphone audio is streamed over an encrypted connection to our speech-recognition provider for real-time transcription, using a short-lived token created just for your session. We do not record or store your audio on our servers. Any local history of your transcripts stays on your own computer and you can clear it at any time.

• To meet legal obligations.

Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy; we receive only limited billing information (such as your plan, status and the last digits/brand of your card).

• Stripe — payment processing.
• An AI speech-recognition provider — real-time transcription of your dictation.
• Email provider — to send verification and account emails.
• Hosting provider — to run the website and API.

These act as our processors and only handle data as needed to provide the Service.

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We keep your account and usage data while your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete it, we remove your personal data except where we must keep limited records (e.g. for tax/accounting).

Under UK/EU data protection law you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and request portability. Email support@whispsy.com to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Some providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords and short-lived access tokens. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Whispsy is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post any changes on this page with a new “last updated” date.
